Spring is in the air, and that fact can only be best reinforced by the ever explosive Annual Vetkuk vs Mahoota & Pepsi Spring Music Day Explosion.
 Celebrating a DECADE of "having fun in style, losing it, moving to the best sounds" and boasting one of the biggest line-ups this side of the equator, this year’s do sees the event reaching all nine provinces in the country, for the first time. It also brings a phatter international presence including Byron Stingly (Vaal), Blackstreet (Vaal), Tortured Soul (Bloemfontein), Monique Bingham (Joburg & Vaal) and Angola’s Cabo Snoop of Windeck fame (Polokwane). The core local presence at the 10th edition of the event that is sponsored by Translux and SABC Radio & TV as media partners, includes Big Nuz, Professor featuring Charecta, Teargas, DJ Sbu, Mahoota vs Vetkuk, Mo Flava, Oskido, Lulo Café, T-Bo Touch, Naves, Kuli Chana, L Tido and Spikiri. Main MCees are Live’s Minenhle Dlamini and Bonang Matheba, who will be joined by relevant MC’s in all provinces.  Pepsi says that the plan to introduce this gigantic event to all provinces, and give the whole nation this feel good experience is finally a reality. “After including four more provinces last year, we are now going to Kimberley, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth in spreading this magic event that scores of fun-lovers have been raving about." Mpumalanga will this year be represented by Emalahleni (Witbank) and the special Sunday Session events in Vanderbijlpark, Bloemfontein and Rustenberg makes its debut for older audiences. Mahoota adds that making this event an international platform has also been realised. "Like we do every year, we bring some of the best local acts and now even more international stars on one stage to create an unforgettable experience. New and established acts have always used these gigs to break their new songs, and this is the perfect setting, as the thousands of fans experience these songs first hand," he says, "happening tracks get immediate reaction and the word spread out immediately." Monique Bingham makes her Joburg debut at this event. Vanderbijlpark: – Vaal Showgrounds 04 September.
